Richard Stallman Condensed (TEDx Geneva 2014)
Known for his rather lengthy lectures on software freedom, the GNU operating system, Creative Commons and so on, Richard Stallman condensed the prime message of free software into a less than 15 minute presentation at TEDx Geneva 2014. Of course I am by no means against lengthy lectures. Many topics simply are too complex to be summarised in less than 2 hours. Nevertheless, it makes sense to have short lectures like this one to get people hooked. To get them to think about the issues and maybe look up further information. I think this is the first of Stallman’s lectures that one can easily show during a class or send to a friend during lunch break. So in the spirit of spreading the word, I am also posting it here.
